"I am a native, born and raised, of Central City and graduated from UNK with a degree in middle level science education. After graduating from school, I accepted a diplomatic position with the Peace Corps where I taught English writing for two years in Neijiang, China. After returning to the States, I continued my teaching career in St. Paul, Minnesota where I taught in different capacities. After realizing education was not my passion and career, I decided to move to a farm in Hana, Hawaii to continue my passion of experiencing new places and learn the trade of small-scale farming to bring back to Central City. I moved back to CC in 2018 to begin establishing Local Edge and different food ventures. The farm has experienced many changes in the first few years of it's existence, and it will continue exploring avenues that fit my passions and needs for the community.

Prior to moving back to Central City and starting up Local Edge, part of the planning process involved understanding needs to address in this community and what Local Edge could do to help. While living in other communities both stateside and abroad, I gained fresh, unique ideas that I've brought home to help this community grow and flow. I witnessed and experienced different actions in those communities that made them stronger, and I wanted to bring them to Central City and the surrounding communities. I'm eager to be part of the growth here because the potential thrives. Rock on!
